Imagine waking up every morning feeling like you can take on the world. How great does that feel? I used to wonder if I would ever feel this way myself. Initially pursuing a career in aviation, I experienced growth but I also felt incomplete. I decided to pursue a career as a therapist because I learned that helping others is what I have always dreamed of doing. I feel so privileged to work with courageous people every day who decide they are ready to take on the world.
Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional Psychotherapist can make things better. I care about your well-being and provide you all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.
I specialize in trauma and relationship work with individuals and couples.

Throughout my life I have always found purpose in coming alongside people in their journeys; engaging with them, identifying their struggle and providing a toolbox for them to achieve their desired goal of wholeness. This goal has led me to pursue specific education; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Crisis Counselling, Bereavement education through University of Toronto, and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
My educational pathway has only ignited my passion to help people process their lived experiences and challenges even more. My goal is to collaboratively coach people to discover their own goals and tools to achieve health and wholeness. Brene Brown says: “ You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness”.
I specialize in grief and trauma therapy for individuals and couples.

I have always found Psychology fascinating and knew I wanted to go into a field where I could assist people in need of help. I obtained my undergraduate degree from York University in Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After continuing my education in medical school, I learned I needed to pursue a career that would allow for more interpersonal relationships. This led me to pursue my Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Helping people overcome their struggles, find balance in their lives, and gaining a deeper understanding of the human experience is why I decided to become a therapist.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and relationship therapy for individuals and couples.

I have always known that I wanted to help and support people through life's journeys, but I did not always know how. With that knowledge, I began my education by studying family and childhood development. However, it was not until I graduated and began working with youth in the judicial system that I understood exactly how I wanted to help. I could see the need for individuals to have a safe space to process experiences and feelings while finding ways to cope with the challenges along the way.
It was with that knowledge that I decided to pursue my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology so that I could come alongside and support individuals on their path in life.
I specialize in working with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationships. I also offer couples therapy.

Do you struggle with feelings of anxiety and constant worry? Are you frustrated with your life or relationships but are unsure of how to achieve the change you desire? Is it hard to find the joy in your day-to-day life? Life comes with many struggles that can plague people from all walks of life and sometimes overcoming these struggles is best achieved through employing the help of others. We all need help sometimes, and it was through my personal experience in therapy that I was able to find balance, clarify my values, and begin building a life that feels good from the inside out.
My personal life circumstances and experience in overcoming mental battles are what inspired my passion for mental health and led me into the helping profession. I strive to meet you where you are in your journey, and approach you from a place of curiosity while walking alongside you as you learn about yourself, discover your desires for life, and ultimately help you to uncover who your authentic self is. I value teaching clients how to develop and utilize various skills that empower them to live their desired life and overcome their struggles. My approach involves working collaboratively to help you identify the root of your difficulties and drawing on your existing strengths to employ various strategies that address these issues and assist you in positively progressing forward.
My compassion and empathy remain at the core of my work as I strive to build a genuine connection with you to offer you the support and care you need during this difficult time in your life.

It is reasonable to feel nervous when finding the right counsellor to trust and express your lived experiences with, but I’m here to meet you where you’re at. I believe there is no universal approach to counselling, but with a collaborative technique that works at your pace, there are endless possibilities.
With over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families and an undergraduate education in child development, I pursued counselling psychology to advocate, understand, and support the diverse needs of members of the community with tools/resources that are uniquely tailored to foster your growth, bravery, interpersonal goals, and healing.
In support of my education, I continue to participate in ongoing learning while maintaining equality and inclusivity to support the healing processes from infancy through to adulthood. In my own lived experiences, I know the feeling of being misunderstood or judged and the importance of approaching therapy authentically.
From the moment you start your session with me, I put emphasis on a client-centered approach that genuinely acknowledges and respects that you’re the expert of your lived experiences. Life can have its challenges, but it is destined to uncover your purpose. I have completed the coursework for my Masters of Counselling Psychology program and am currently completing the practicum portion of my degree under the guidance of a regulated supervisor.

Hi everyone, my name is Emma (she/her). I have my undergraduate degree in sociology and am currently in the last stage of completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology degree where I am being provided supervision during practicum.
Throughout my life I have always known that I wanted a career where I can provide support, empowerment and assist those in need. Since I was younger, I have always been passionate
about mental health, but it was through my own personal challenges and experiences in life that really inspired me and led me into pursuing psychotherapy where I could help others on their journey towards living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
I enjoy using a client-centered approach for clients to develop at their own pace. However, I do not believe that there is a one-size-fits all approach to therapy. I strongly believe that every client and their experiences are unique, therefore, an approach that is tailored to each client’s needs will be used.
I truly value the therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively with my clients. I strive to be my authentic and genuine self and provide the best care possible to my clients in a respectful and kind manner every step of the way.
